Transmission fails to start on Duo after editing settings
Hi,
I know this topic has been raised before, but I've been trawling the web since Thursday and I still can't find a solution.
I've got Transmission (2.31) installed on my ReadyNAS Duo.
I shut down the Transmission service using ReadyNAS Frontview. Then I ssh into the device and using vi and edit the settings.json file.
In here I'm setting the password by removing the hash between the quotes and replacing it with my own password.
I'm also editing the blocklist.sh, transtart.sh and transtop.sh files to reflect the same password.
However, whenever I try and start the transmission service using ReadyNAS Frontview, it comes up with a message saying that it failed to start.
I can't see what else I'm doing wrong. :(

- I have the same problem, have you found a solution?
- addictAspirantFor me, it stopped working after applying the RAIDiator update ... I re-installed 2.3.1 without removing the existing installation and it started up without any problems!
- clowrymAspirantI have been having issues on 2 Duo's recently since the new Update of Firmware & Transmission. I can't seem to get Transmission to Start. Checked the settings and I cant see anything different from the previous. Transtart & stop both look the same as previous, but it fails to start!!
