- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSlashes are wrong way, I think.
You need: /c/media/BitTorrent
Do check that the folder BitTorrent (case-sensitive) exists on the media share.
If still get permission denied error you could try resetting ownership of the share in the Advanced tab for the share. - zimmAspirantim pretty sure the filepath is correct.
but something weird has happend to my readynas now, yesterday i could se the folder c and everything in it on via the network.
now c seem to have dissapeard :/ and the only folder in "media" that i can se now is the folder transmission. there was many others there yesterday.
ive tried resetting the permissions on everything several times, but no difference. and the permissions for the c-folder theres no way to change?
something weird about permissions seem to be going on with my readynas.
is there any way just to reinstall it or something and start from scratch? i dont mind losing the data on it right now, ive only had it sence yesterday so theres not alot.
how do i reflash the thing? or is there no point in doing that? - JarnoGGuidemdgm is right about the filepath, you have to use "/" instead of "\". At least, those are the ones I have in my settings.json and my Transmission is working.
As for the shares:
You c-share might've disappeard because you aren't logging in via CIFS as admin. You only see the c-share when you're logged in as admin.
That you see only a folder names "transmission" in you media share would suggest you were either using the wrong filepath, since you state you were using \c\media\BitTorrent, so there would be no transmission folder. The other option is that you are using Radiator 4.2.19 and (re-)installed an add-on that messed up your share settings.
This last option is solved by installing the latest beta of Radiator, found here.
I'm not sure, but I think you can get your old share-settings back by renaming or remaking your shares in FrontView. There's a post on this forum about that somewhere... - zimmAspiranthurray! now it works.
i restored it to factory and then tried again.
i dont know if it has anything to do with it but i couldent restore to factory via frontview, it asked me to type "FABRIK" (swedish for factory) to restore but when i did it said "canceld restore" :/. so i ripped the disk out and put it in my pc then removed all the partitions :P.
so after i started over and made all my settings it worked.
my guess is that something messed up my settings, i noticed in the log that it had failed several updates (checksum something, cancelld).
thanks guys for all your help i might install the beta radiator anyway if that fixes a lot of problems, so far the reliability of my readynas isent that high (24 h between formatting).
now im going back to moving files to the nas :) - jamminontoastAspirantThis actually works for me as per JarnoG's advice in this post.
