Transmission wont start (or any other torrent client)
I wanted to try out RuTorrent, so Installed the necessary PHP and rUtorrent service, but, I couldnt get to work for some reason- connection issues. I then gave up and thought I would go back to transmission, but for some reason it will not start. I have uninstalled PHP and RuTorrent, reinstalled Transmission several times. No luck with getting it started. Any thoughts?
edit: I also remember trying to instal 'Automatic' - but in never showed up anywhere, I wonder if this somehow broke transmission?
edit 2: I tried installing the uTorrent and even thought it reports it started, it isnt actually, as I cant connect to it.
What is going on with my NVX??

- hey Mgm, u may recall I had issues before - I went through the steps on the other post(viewtopic.php?f=36&t=61921), and I could'nt fix it. I think it is something different this time..
I'm running 4.2.21 - Have you tried an OS Re-install?
- Reinstall 4.2.21 you mean? The answer is no BTW
- In case anyone has the same problems as me - reinstalling the ReadyNAS firmware did the trick..
- I posted this another thread but this seems much more appropriate: I previously had Transmission 2.60.02 working perfectly on an NVX. I had installed the add-on several years ago and had upgraded through new versions with no issues.
I just re-installed v2.60.02 after "factory resetting" and rebuilding my NVX (not by choice; volume went bad in an unrecoverable sort of way). I am running the latest firmware (4.2.21). When I try to enable Transmission after installing it, I receive the following message, "Transmission service failed to start." I have not made any changes to the settings.json file.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the add-on several times and have tried to start in several times in succession. I also reinstalled the NVX firmware. Still no luck.
Any ideas?? - got a readynas duo, radiator 4.1.9 and tried to install Transmission add on. But don't works.
I uninstall this add on but two directories still in my readynas. And I can't delete it... I tried to delete in shares setup, and fine. But when I accessby network they still there... I need some help to delete them!!
