  • I was also thinking about one :)

But I'm not a irc expert so, i dont know which software would be easy to configure. ZNC seems to be interessting. When my NAS is online back i will try to compile it.
  • I compiled znc successful without python und perl. Otherwise you need to install also pcre-7.1
    and swing.

Because my system partion has no space left i cannt install znc :( (I dont like to install it on /c/)

Ah i see. But as i understand u got one working? Would be great if you could share! So me and mayby others could check it out manually
  • Because I haven't dealt with making addons yet, I can only tell you how to compile that stuff.
I upgraded my compiling enviroment but I hope you can compile this with the standard readynas duo enviroment.

First enable ssh access with the addon.

    Download the src
Change to an temporary directory like media and download src

    cd /media/
    wget http://pkgconfig.freedesktop.org/releases/pkgconfig-0.16.0.tar.gz
    wget http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/repo/pkgs/znc/znc-0.202.tar.gz/3c6ff4620e139e3d9745cd53111bab20/znc-0.202.tar.gz

    extract it

    tar xvfz pkgconfig-0.16.0.tar.gz
    tar xvfz znc-0.202.tar.gz

    build pkgconfig

    cd pkgconfig-0.16.0
    ./configure --build='sparc-linux'
    make
#if compiling was successful install it
    make install

    build znc

    cd ..
    cd znc-0.202
    ./configure --host='sparc-linux' --enable-debug --prefix=/c/apps/
    make
#if compiling was successful install it
    make install

I didnt test the input because of the diffrent readynas enviroment.
Because of library dependencies you might need to install the required lib. If problems occour tell me. I'll try to help.
  • Ye need GCC to install. But not sure if i'm gonna risk it on my live enviroment since i also dont got a backup running yet. hehe :P
