I'm not a mac guy, but from what I've read there is no need to back up the .DS_Store files. Why do you need to?
You should be able to copy hidden files and folders if windows explorer is set up to make them visible. Though I don't have a v2, this works properly with my OS4 and OS6 NAS.
On moxy, a quick google suggests that while it doesn't backup hidden files by default, you can adjust this behavior through some advanced settings. http://support.mozy.com/articles/en_US/ ... en-files-b
