.DS_Store files
ReadyNAS Duo V2 RAIDiator 5.3.7 I am trying to "backup" (Mozy pro 2x protect, file copy based) a file share from Windows (2008r2) to a SMB share on the ReadyNAS. The file share on the Windows serve...
Amongst other things, .DS_store files contain directory layout and color information for OS X clients, while they do not contain "data", user experience is key.
I think I may not have explained the issue clearly enough, Mozy can backup the files just fine online, it fails when copying (the 2x protect part) to the NAS.
This is not a Windows or hidden files issue, the issue is that the SMB implementation on the ReadyNAS is blocking the file write...
