2120 + vmware Proliant + 1Gb/s switch = poor performance
Hi. Bought 2120. Added to network (Netgear GSM7224). First interface - for manage, the second - for storage network (dedicated VLAN with dedicated vmware interface). We have Windows 2003 server as gu...
1. I found, that VMWare 5 still support only NFS v3.
2. I do not use NAS for other loads. Only for VMWare. And use dedicated NICs (VMWare and LAN2 from NAS).
3. The status of disk is ok.
I tied to use iscsi connection (through VMWare) instead of NFS. The result is worst. Tried to defragment Exchange database on server and iscsi disk was lost (to long timeout). Tried to times - allways server lost disk and I needed to power off unconditionally.
