2x3TB Flexraid 0 - Only one disk used by NAS
Hello fellow nas-owners,
i have a ReadyNas NV+ v2 with the latest firmware and raidiator installed, configuration is like this:
2/4 bays used, 2 identical 3TB drives running in flexraid 0.
Now, disk1 has reached its capacity limit, but the NAS doesn't automatically continue to write on the 2nd disk. Windows just states, that the disk is full (as does the NAS in the config panel). Its like it treats them as two seperate disks.
I didn't see any option related to that kind of problem in the config panel. I thought it just automatically bundles the drives to show up as one and decides by itself, on what drive the data is written. Am I wrong?
What do I need to do to get the full capacity? Also, it would be awesome if I could solve this, without recreating the raid, because I wouldn't know where to put the 3TB of data in the meantime :D
(also, transfer speeds are really slow, like 8mb/s max, despite the gigabit con - no idea why...takes ages to copy stuff over)
much appreciated, thx!

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserThere is nothing automatic with jbod. You need to move some shares manually to the second disk. Otherwise it will never be used.
Create the share with a temporary name, and use the built-in backup to copy the files. Make sure you match the permissions and protocols configured for the original share. When that is complete, delete the original, and rename the new one with the original name. - nfin1teAspirantAh ok, i get it now, i didnt figure that out. Thanks for your help!
