Big thanks to everyone for the input. I am glad to see that this is worked on and is apparently resolved.
Since I am not good at fixing *nix problems, I am a bit weary of performing an upgrade to a beta. I have a backup of my RAID but what I do not have is time to deal with eventual problems and having to restore to factory defaults should something is to happen. I know chances are slim and yet... I hope that the next stabile version is going to be out soon. Luckily our ReadyNAS do not have to be rebooted often and there is a workaround that needs to be applied only once per reboot.
