4.1.9 shares not mounting under linux
Hi all,
AFter a slow start I had the ReadNAS nv+ working, including mount points on linux. My fstab has
192.168.2.9:/media /mnt/readynas01 nfs defaults 0 0
As I said, that was working fine under 4.1.8
Now, after upgrading to 4.1.9 mounting under linux (Ubuntu) no longer works.
Has something changed?
Thanks

- GuiGuyAspirantThis is the sys log when attempts are made to mount a share on the ReadyNAS with a valid syntax mount command:
[ 30.902695]
[ 43.201413] CIFS VFS: Error connecting to socket. Aborting operation
[ 43.201489] CIFS VFS: Error connecting to socket. Aborting operation
[ 43.249404] CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -113
[ 43.249409] CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -113
Do I give up? - pugilaresAspirantThere are known problems with shares ownership rights in 4.1.9. I would suggest go to the latest official firmware with no major issues which is 4.1.8 and disable automatic update in Frontview. Or you can try beta 4.1.10.
- GuiGuyAspirantI hadn't installed cifs-utils on the linux boxes. Once I did that the mounts worked fine and permissions were as expected.
I'd also mention that compared to 4.1.8 the write speed jumed from < 8MP/s to 20MB/s. If that's the norm than 4.1.9 is madatory, surely?
Cheers
