Could you please try 4.2.19-T4 beta (http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=55394)and see if this fixes the problem? There is a fix relevant to using the same UID on your NAS and on your Mac
Please also note that updating to 4.2.18+ involves an update to the CNID database. If you have lots of files this can take a long time. Please be patient and wait for this to complete.
Also has guest access been enabled on your AFP shares due to bug in 4.2.18 (since corrected in 4.2.19)?
