6.10.5 Admin Page Loop - How to downgrade to 6.10.4
I bought this NAS as my first ever NAS and I have never had any issues with it until now. I will be getting a newer NAS sometime this year, but will keep this running too.
Right now, I seem to be impacted by the looping of the "Connecting to the Admin page" after logging in and not actually able to use the Admin page at all. I've tried a lot of what was suggested throughout this community, but nothing.
I understand I can downgrade to 6.10.4 but when I try either by using the app to build a USB disk or running the echo command in a SSH session, when it boots it shows "FAILED" on the display.
What could I be doing wrong?
Other than my inability to get to the Admin page, the device is working perfectly.

First try https://nas-ip-address/admin - using the real IP address of the NAS, and making sure you spell out the https bit. Let us know either way if that method works for you.
The second thing to try is the OS reinstall. The process is described on pages 28-29 here: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/ReadyNAS_%20OS6_Desktop_HM_EN.pdf This will
- reset your admin password back to password
- reset your network settings to default (DHCP, no bonding)
- turn off volume quota (which can be turned back on via the volume settings wheel.
Most folks have been able to log in after the reinstall. If that works for you, then do the downgrade before you change the admin password.

Finally, gotten around to trying this. Webpage now loads and logs in correctly and seems thus far to work as it should.
Thanks very much :)
Would you recommend the downgrade? The only reason I was doing it was to gain access to the admin page again.

You could just wait for the hotfix. But it also would be fine to downgrade, and monitor the forum (until you see folks getting the hotfix from the update servers).
