Aggiungere 3 hard disk
Buongiorno, come da titolo ho un ready nas 316 attualmente configurato con 3 hard disk da 3 Tera in X-Raid (Raid 5) per cui 6 tera disponibili. Attualmente siccome lo spazio era in esaurimento, ho s...
Since the NAS is on XRAID, it will automatically change to RAID6 once 7th drive is in, but in your case since it's a 6 bay NAS only, it will most likely stay on RAID5, you will have to change to Flex-RAID to change the configuration to RAID6 but I would advise staying on XRAID.
Poiché il NAS è su XRAID, passerà automaticamente a RAID6 una volta inserita la settima unità, ma nel tuo caso poiché è solo un NAS a 6 baie, molto probabilmente rimarrà su RAID5, dovrai passare a Flex-RAID per cambiare la configurazione su RAID6 ma consiglierei di rimanere su XRAID.

If you were planning to expand your X-RAID Horizontally, the recommended method is to add the disk one at a time while NAS is running, it will auto-expand the volume and sync it to the current RAID.
XRAID should change to RAID6 after adding the 7th drive.
You may want to try removing the 3 new drives and reinsert them 1 at a time while the NAS is on, it should detect and expand the RAID5 you have.

Se stavi pianificando di espandere il tuo X-RAID orizzontalmente, il metodo consigliato consiste nell'aggiungere il disco uno alla volta mentre il NAS è in esecuzione, espanderà automaticamente il volume e lo sincronizzerà con il RAID corrente.
XRAID dovrebbe passare a RAID6 dopo aver aggiunto la settima unità.
Potresti provare a rimuovere le 3 nuove unità e reinserirle 1 alla volta mentre il NAS è acceso, dovrebbe rilevare ed espandere il RAID5 che hai.

Grazie Marc, in effetti ho iniziato a fare proprio così. ho tolto tutti e 3 i dischi nuovi e ne ho lasciato uno solo. L'ho formattato da dentro il Nas e ha cominciato a risincronizzare con il raid 5. Solo un'ultima domanda: al 6 disco ho la pssibilità di portare il tutto a RAID6 o devo per forza rimanere in RAID5 ? (Attualmente sono in modalità X-RAID del NAS)
