Auto Shutdown During Resync of New Disc

Hi,

I'm in a bit of a pickle.

I wanted to expand my nas disc capacity by swapping out my discs (4x 1TB) one-by-one. I did just that and the first new disc was resyncing and at 75% i went to bed.

However i totally forgot the readynas was configured to auto-shutdown at 2 a.m...

The next day (today) the readynas booted again, and i came home to check the progress of the sync.

Not only was the new disc not synced, it was initialising and was going to take 17hours to initialize. the other 3 discs were not marked as RAID-discs.

Thinking that did may lead to all of my discs being reinitialized i shutdown the nas and took out the new disc. However after booting again the discs are still not recognised.

What to do now?

Thanks.

I'm guessing that you have no backup, correct?

You could contract with Netgear support for data recovery.

If you can connect the three remaining disks to a Windows PC you could try ReclaiMe and see if it finds the data.  It is expensive, but you pay nothing until you actually enable recovery.
