Backing up a Naim HDX to my readynas 314
Dear Sirs,
Just bought my NAS and am trying to set up to back up a Naim HDX, but both the netgear and naim instructions both seem to miss bits out. Any one done this before? Any help appreciated thank you
cheers
Steve

I haven't done it, but I did take a quick look at the NAIM manual (https://www.naimaudio.com/sites/default/files/products/downloads/files/hdx_reference-manual_1.7a_english_issue-7f.pdf )
Page 14 describes how to do the backup from the NAIM. You create an empty share on the RN314, and set it up for anonymous access with SMB. Then the NAIM should see it, and you can "nominate it" as a NAIM backup share using the "add backup" feature of the NAIM.
Once set up, the NAIM will do daily backups automatically.
You could also put your media on the NAS, and access it over the network on the network on the Naim. That likely gives you more space - but you'd need a backup plan for the RN314 in that case.
