Backing up Time machine or any hidden folder in os6
Maybe I'm crazy but I also backup time machine to an attached USB drive. Overkill, but anyhow in OS6 I can't seem to find a way to back up any hidden directory. Files starting with period are not shown in the backup folder selection dialog and you can't even type a name in. How can I create a backup job for /data/.timemachine?

- dsm1212ApprenticeAny work-around?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredAfter creating a backup job is it possible to edit it to set it how you want?
- dsm1212ApprenticeYes, looks like that will work. It lets me edit the path with text. While I'm in the edit window I see the source tab's type field has "timemachine" in it's pick list. I wonder if I pick that it will do the entire shared time machine or should I also put in /data/.timemachine as the path? Will have to play around with this. thanks!
- dsm1212ApprenticeActually after going to 6.2 I see a Time Machine icon as a backup source so that works. For a random .xxx folder though this is still a workaround as the backup setup wizard won't show those hidden folders.
- pdelgesGuideJust updated from 6.1.9 to 6.2.2 and happy to discover the user based Time Machine!
I see it is (still) possible to define a bakup job for Time Machine, but still impossible to define a job to recovery a backup of Time Machine! Or is there a way?
In the latest version of the manual, timemachine can be chose as a destination, but not in the UI of 6.2.2
I suppose that only the shared TimeMachine is backed up, or am I wrong? How can I backup all the users Time Machine (and recover them) with one single job?
