Hello hoppo1,
Have you checked the permissions of the source and destination? May be try creating a new share on the NAS and create a test rsync backup going to the other non-ReadyNAS.

Thanks for your response. I get same result with new shares. I suspect rsync got updated in the new release and now the two are incompatable,

Hello hoppo1,
Will it be possible for you to create a new one for a test but this time destination is the ReadyNAS and Dlink is the source?
Can you also try creating a simple backup job with source and destination test shares of the ReadyNAS?

Also, did you upgrade to the production 6.4.1, or are you running one of the betas?
There was a fix in 6.4.1-RC3
[RC3] Fix premature timeouts on rsync backup jobs.

I'm running the version that my readynas prompted to download 6.4.1.
I can backup to the Readynas and I can backup from the readynas if I set my other device to pull the data rather than the readynas pushing it.
I will look to pull backups in the interim if there is a pending fix rather than going for the beta.
thanks.
