Backup between two nas 1100 is very slow
The company I work for has two nas1100 with 4.1.8 one is live and other is backup. We do the back through rsync at night when everyone is off the live nas. The two nas are connected through crossove...
RAM updates aren't supported. If you upgrade the RAM and encounter data corruption NetGear will be unable to help recover your data. More RAM may help a little with backup speeds. If you do upgrade the RAM be sure to run the memory test at least twice: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/hardware/is_there_a_way_i_can_verify_if_my_memory_is_good
The 1100 has a 5 year warranty if purchased on/after August 21, 2007.
