Backup issues with ReadyNAS 524X

We've got some backups going from this NAS to another identical NAS over a VPN.  All permissions are set properly and the 'Test' connection button shows all is good.  However I keep getting the follo...

Did you try going into the file access tab of the destination share settings, and resetting the file permissions (using the RESET control on the left) ?

    I hadn't but I did just now and restarted the job.  I'll report back later with an update.
