Backup failure issue

OS 6.10.6

File Backup from a folder source in NAS to PC-USB connected drive (remote) destination works on first time run only

Subsequent runs fail: "Error backup job <NAME>. Destination is read-only or files/folders could not be created. Check if these files or folders meet the destination file system limitation"

Test Connection: "successful".

What don't I understand please?  Thank you in advance.

This is almost certainly an issue with the PC.  In general, there are two sets of permissions that need to be set to read/write.  One is the network access to the destination share, the other are the file permissions in the destination folder.  Since the first run seems to work ok, the issue is likely the file permissions.

There is another way to accomplish your goal - which is to use PC backup software to back up the NAS share to the PC.  So you might want to look into that.  It's more secure, especially if the PC is a laptop that is sometimes connected to other networks.  FreeFileSync is one of several options.
