ReadyNAS backup definition failure

Two NETGEAR ReadyNAS  NAS servers

Server to Server backup using Rsync has worked works properly for several years with different ReadyNAS systems.

Installed an ASUS wireless router since it supported OPEN VPN

Now getting issue with error for backup

When the “Test Connection” selection in the backup job definition for a job has has worked for over two years I now get

            Unable to Connect

            Code 7077010011

Very puzzling.  Any hints would be appreciated.

Good guess or is there some rationale why it would work previously and not with a new router?

I don't know the precise reason, but I do know that hostname resolution can be hit-or-miss with ReadyNAS (and had to switch to IP addresses for my own local backups long ago).  Clearly it was working with your old router, but not the new.

Is the backup job using the hostname or the IP address for the destination?

Same job definition that has worked for the past year or so.

Uses the host name for the destination.

Try changing it to the IP address, and see if that works.
