Backup Job Failure
RN 314 running 6.5.1 firmware.
External 960 GB USB drive connected to the back USB port.
Drive formatted with ReadyNAS
Almost all files were backed up and then a Backup Job Failure for no apparent reason.
Log below.
Backup Job Name: HDD_8.3.5_Backup
Backup Job Type: Full
Protocol: local
Backup Source: [Vol1-Master]/
Backup Destination: [USB_HDD_8]/
Backup Start Time: Sat Jul 23 2016 11:05:14
Backup Finish Time: Sat Jul 23 2016 11:35:09
Backup Status: Fail: failure during copy.
Cannot write file 'AccountingFiles/TaxReturnData/TaxReturnData' (error: Operation not supported)!
Failed to copy file '/media/USB_HDD_8/AccountingFiles/TaxReturnData/TaxReturnData' (error: Operation not supported)!
Well I am puzzled. The file is a larger 5 GB file that is encrypted – cannot be read without the appropriate encryption software on the Windows client system. The file should just be equivalent to a large binary file of some type. On a Windows workstation the RN delivers the file to the encryption software and the data is readily available.

Turns out that the USB drive was formated for FAT32 which has a 4 TB limit on file size.
Reformating the drive to NTFS format solved the issue since there the 4 TB limit is not operative.
