Backup not working
I haven't run my regular backup jobs for a month. In that time I have: Replaced disk #1 after failure & resynced Replaced disk #2 after failure & resynced Upgraded to version 4 of FrontView N...
i also have the same problem; when i try 'test connection' it fails.
however, for what its worth, if i use a different syntax as in the following, the test connection works, but the backup still fails:
//M2N32-SLI\Backup\
so in other words, \\m2n32-sli\backup does not work with test connection, where //m2n32-sli\backup DOES work with test connection. they both fail for the backup.
i am using a windows xp machine, and "backup" is a share on the e:\ drive. have tried the following, all with the prefixes // and \\:
m2n32-sli\backup
m2n32-sli\e:\backup
192.168.1.101\backup
192.168.1.101\e:\backup
what else can i try? i purchased the box just a couple months ago, and this function never worked.
