StuBarrett, since you are on RoadRunner, can you try loading this page, and setting the option to disable it: http://ww23.rr.com/prefs.php
RoadRunner recently enabled a feature where failed DNS queries would redirect you to their "service" instead of responding with an expected NX (non-existant) host response. This will definately break some home lans where PCs try to query a local PC name, its not online, and they get RoadRunners IP instead, messing stuff up.
