Backup Path Lost When Switching USB Drives

RN102 with 6.2.3

I have backup jobs for each share to backup to a corresponding destination folder on a usb drive (Music share goes to Music folder on usb drive). Backup button is enabled for each job so I can hit the button at the end of each week  and backup over the weekend. Each month I switch out the usb drive. One drive shows up as usb_hdd_1. The other as usb_hdd_2. Since the folder path is different for each drive I have created backup job sets for each usb drive. When I run backups, I'll get an error for the usb drive set that isn't hooked up, but that's not an issue.

When I first switch usb drives and hit the backup button, I get an error for destination folder not found, even for the jobs that point to that usb drive. I then use the web ui to point the backup job to the destination folder and it works again as long as that drive remains connected. . The path is unchanged from when the last time the drive was connected. Is there a way to get the destination path recognized automatically?

I'm reluctant to test out a beta firmware at this point.

You can't downgrade from 6.4 beta, so it is wise to be cautious.

You could upgrade to the current production firmware though (6.2.5).

    Hi NASklr,

The USB path name depends on which USB device gets plugged in first. Even if they're switched out (top/bottom or front) the same USB_HDD_1 stays on the 1st USB storage plugged in, and USB_HDD_2 for the next one. Kindly confirm if you have tried this and got the same behavior.

    Kind regards,

I've been plugging both drives alternately into the top back usb 3.0 socket. (My UPS is plugged into the lower back socket.) The RN102 gave each drive a different name when I plugged them in.

        Hi NASklr,

Can you confirm if the name of the 1st USB storage device you plugged in, is USB_HDD_1? and when you plugged in the the other USB storage device, was it named USB_HDD_2?

        Kind regards,
