Backupassist Error after Upgrade: "Destination does not support copying of NTFS attributes...".
I just recently updated one of our servers from Windows Server 03 to Server 08. I have been using Backupassist for years to backup to our ReadyNAS Pro 2. Server 03 used ntbackup through Backupassis...

I don't know of any settings. Of course Linux EXT and NTFS aren't completely aligned, so there might be some attributes that simply can't be copied. Alternate Data Streams is one for sure.
Is there any evidence that the missing attributes matter?

Before with ntbackup, the backup created was just one .bak file. Restoring anything from that file using ntbackup would restore the NTFS security settings of that file, such as domain users having only read permissions, CFO user have full control, etc. Now, Backupassist is basically just creating a copy of the files on the ReadyNAS instead of one .bak file, and the only attributes being assigned are the one's from the ReadyNAS GUI (Administrator, Everyone....and that's pretty much it). Although restoring one file here or there wouldn't be too much of a hassle, if I had to restore the server completely, re-setting up permissions would be a large chore. It's not critical per se, the backup is still getting done, I just want to know if there's a way to allow ReadyNAS to accept the NTFS Permissions to save hours of work if the situation arises.
