Batch File Access Denied

I think the problem is directly related to where the files came from. I wrote a quick batch file that uploaded to another (new) directory and it worked fine and I was able to delete the files from Windows explorer. I presume the fact that these directories were recreated from the USB drive is the problem and that the USB drive only has permission to delete or add to them. If I try to delete anything from Windows explorer I get this:

So, how do I change the permissions to allow me access to the files from the computer from which they were originally transferred?
