Bonding Eth1 and Eth2 in RN21200 and Netgear R8000 router
Hello. I have version 6.6.0 of firmware on my model RN21200 (this is confusing because the model number in the admin page is "ReadyNAS 212" and when I registered this, is is listed as "RN21200" in My Products list!!!). I want to optimize my ReadyNAS's connection to my LAN. Currently, l connected the two Ehternet ports to a Gig switch, which, I'm sure is not a L3 switch. I bonded the two ports using "Adaptive Load Balancing" mode.
Question: I have a Netgear R8000 Nighthawk wireless router. Does this router support "IEEE 802.3ad LACP" mode?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, and LACP works fine with my R8500.
Though truthfully, there isn't much performance gain with LACP/Bonding unless you have a lot of simultaneous users.

I think I know the answer to this. In order for Link Aggregation to work, the switch must be a layer 3 switch and it has to be a manged switch. The R8000 wireless router is NOT a layer 3 switch and therefore LAG cannot be configured!
