well the long story is that I came home to find the nv+ (v1) off, and the psu was dead so I managed to get it replaced for free under that old known issue (even though I replaced it once back then - s...
does drive order matter when attaching to an external computer to mount the drives?
it looks like I can run ubuntu on my osX86 box so I'll be trying that while waiting for the auction to end.
even if I can mount the drives, I'll still have to figure out where to put the data, but that's for later to worry about, haha.
