If you are just starting fresh, with no intention of recovering any data on the current drives, remove the old ones and install the new ones and all will start in the factory fresh condition. You won't have to do anything special.
If you intend to replace the drives one at a time to grow the volume and retain the data, then you first need to get access. You do an OS re-install with both current drives installed.

Good morning Sandshark. It is a glorious morning. I did you OS reinstall, it did JUST WHAT you SAID it would do. Wiped the IP address and installed the comcast IP 10.0.0.227. I signed in under admin/password and I am ON!!!! I know I made it difficult for you to advise me, but frankly my comfort with PC/Mac OS's did not extend to the NAS. So my apologies for making getting your help harder than it needed to be. As simple as the OS install was, I had to read it a few times to get it right. Not be able to read a message from a device, using the table of lights to get to the OS install, was not intuitive for me. I kept looking for some error message. Once I did you suggested, is was BINGO! My last step is to look at the files, I am on the admin page now and will poke around to see if I can view it. Again, my highest regard for your knowledge and patience. Both are rare commodities today.

Great! Better to read it multiple times and get it right than to mess up badly. Accidently doing a Factory Default instead of an OS re-install would qualify as messing up badly.
Now, you likely want the NAS to always be at the same IP address. That's best done via address reservation in the router rather than static IP in the NAS, which I believe StephenB was going to try and help you with.

Correct. I'd need the router model to give help on that (so I could look at the manual).
