Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the ReadyNAS products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with NAS products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

    Thank you.

  • You're going to have to be a lot more specific than that, starting with what CCTV software you're running and on what platform (if not the NAS itself).

I Googled IVMS 4200 and it's for Hikvision devices.  I really think you need to post this in a forum for IVMS and Hikvision.  But if you give us some idea of how that software and/or the camera use the NAS, we may also be able to help.

Based on the small amount of information you have provided thus far, I'd say the reason is because you didn't initialize the storage for that device.  Many CCTV programs need to set up a database for recordings before you can use it.  But I have no idea if that's the case with your set-up.
