I tried to get time machine to work over my wireless but it only seems to work when it is hard wired. I am using a macbook air 13 inch. Does anyone have suggestions?

- What is the error message you are getting? Can you still ping the NAS while you are wirelessly connected?
- POrterhouseAspirantI do not get any error I just notice i get less shares to look at while I am on the wireless verses hardwire and one of the shares missing has the built in time machine folder. I just wish I knew how to fix it. I appreciate all your help.

What version of Mac OS X?
What wireless router are you using? - Is this happening on just one computer? Did you try verifying if you will also have the same experience with other wireless computers? There should no other reason why you will have less shares when connected via wireless.

So did you follow these instructions when setting up Time Machine?: http://www.readynas.com/TimeMachine - POrterhouseAspirantI am using SL fully updated and it seems it is happening only to my Macbook Air. I use to be able to see shares now and then and now I can only see them when hard wired. I am using RAIDAR 4.3.0. I followed the instructions for Time Machine setup. I just can not figure out why my Mac will not see shares over wireless but if i use Windows I can. I can even use the web browser to set changes over the ReadyNAS but not see the shares or the ready NAS using the MAC UI. I am using D-Link dir-665. Please help.

It sounds like it might be a router configuration issue. - POrterhouseAspirantI have followed your solution and switched the dir-665 to multicast mode and that made it so I could not connect to the internet at all. I put the setting back. I did notice running my bootcamp partition Windows 7 (not using VMware) I saw a Netgear access point along with my dir-665. I changed all the channels on my dir-665 to see if i could get that Netgear access point which is not mine to drop and I could not get rid of it. I am still back to the drawing board not being able to use Time Machine over my wireless connection. I appreciate all your help. Do you have any more suggestions? i really want this to work correctly.
