Can RN426 read old 6X3T harddisk data in RN316?

My RN316 is dead and I cannot find a new RN316 for recovery.

In order to recovery my important old data in RN316, Can I put the 6x 3T HDD ( ...not sure...RAID 5 or RAID 6) to a new RN426?

is it a must to have a same firmware version between 316 and 426? (because I don't know the dead RN316 firmware version)

Thank you very much!

Yes, it will be able to read the disks from your old RN316 provided that they are healthy. It is better to make sure that the RN426 is on the latest firmware, you can do that by using a spare disks to initialize the RN426 and update the firmware then put in the old disks from the RN316 in order.

The new RN426 can read the old 6x3T hdd (from RN316) successfully.

I just need to set the ip again.

      Thank you very much
