Cannot access other users' private shares (ReadyNAS Duo)

------------------
Hi all, I have a ReadyNAS Duo with private home shares enabled. I can enter the private share of the currently logged user, but if I navigate to \\nas_name\other_user_name, and enter the proper credentials of the other user when asked, I get access denied. Following advices from this forum, I tried to disable "private home shares" and re-enable it, without success. I also tried to enter the credentials of NAS "admin", which should have free access to the home folder where the shares are stored, to no avail.

This is a big problem for me, because I want to backup the ReadyNAS through a LAN network, toward a PC drive. For example, Iperius Backup has outstanding network capabilities, because for every share network it allows you to set the credentials of a specific backup user with access rights to that share, but the program cannot access the shares of a user different from the logged one...

Windows is restricted to one session password at a time, and sometimes it can keep sessions open after you dismiss the file explorer window.

    Try opening cmd and enter

    net use * /delete

    net use t: \\nasipaddress\c /user:admin adminpassword

If the first command generates an error you can ignore it.
