Cannot force DLNA to refresh content
From some time the DLNA is not updating its content. Any method is working, I've tried everything. Even resetting the device with full scanning option gives no results. Any ideas or should I put it ...

Any ideas or should I put it into trash and look for something else? I had to go back to USB stick :(

You can try the debug toggle here: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24547 You can install the add-on, do a manual scan, and download the logs. Install the toggle a second time to turn the debug logging off (you don't want a runaway log).
The logs might tell you what the issue is.
BTW, the add-on here is also worth installing. It moves the ReadyDLNA cache off the OS partition. https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/ReadyDLNA-OS-Partition-Usage/m-p/829401/highlight/true#M11295
