Cant backup share what am I doing wrong?
So I went to set up my first backup today. I need to backup the photos share on a win 7 machines
Created the backup with the following parameters.
Type: Share
Share:Backup
Host: DHCP address of Win 7 PC (Reserved DHCP)
Path: My Photos (share path to folder is \\192.168.0.9\my photos)
Login: Account with admin credentials
Password: **** (for above account)
When I test the connection it succeeds. Doesn't really matter what details I put in.
I run the job, it completes in arount 5secs with the following logs (no data). No matter what I do it will not work. Im forced to copy the files manually.
ULL Backup started. Fri Sep 21 14:30:39 GMT 2012
Job: Photos
Protocol: cifs-ab
Source: //192.168.0.9/my photos (Are these switches the wrong way around?)
Destination: [backup]/Pictures
Unknown parameter encountered: "min receivefile size"
Ignoring unknown parameter "min receivefile size"
session setup failed: SUCCESS - 0
Files copied: 0
Backup finished. Fri Sep 21 14:30:40 GMT 2012

- GoodkyngAspirantHello,
I am really interested in this problem as I am now facing that exact same error message.
I have a ReadyNas Duo V2, I used to have automatic backup with FW 5.3.5 that were going fine (My PC runs Win7 64).
I have updated to FW 5.3.6 last week and since then, none of my backup tasks could be completed
I havn't been changing anything in my settings, and have to face the same result if i try to create a new backup task on different folders :(
Here is the log:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - noonyAspirantI'm guessing its a bug in the latest firmware then.
The / switches are the wrong way also. Dont know if that's got something to do with it? - ManicDAspirantSame Issue here, only occurred after I updated!!!
- noonyAspirantOk just come off the phone with Readynas support.
Known issue with 5.3.6 they told me I must downgrade the firmware.
They are working on a fix. - GoodkyngAspirant

Thanks for the feedback :? - GoodkyngAspirantHello,
Has anyone tried the 5.3.7 firmware?
Is the problem solved ?
(I don't see it in the fix-list) - convergentAspirantAny update on this? So are you running 5.3.5 to get around this bug? I bought this box specifically to do these backups and wasted quite a bit of time trying to get around this bug. I tried 5.3.7 and 5.3.6... now trying 5.3.5. I wondering what other bugs I'm opening myself up to by going back 2 levels.
- GoodkyngAspirantI'm still running 5.3.5 (downgraded from 3.5.6 to get rid of this bug), everything is going fine, no known bugs on my side.
I'm not upgrading anymore as long as i don't have confirmation that the bug is fixed. - GoodkyngAspirantFor your information, problem i not fixed on 5.3.7, tried it tonight but still the same problem
