Can't connect to NVX..a little desperate!!
Ever since i rearranged some of my network gear, the readynas doesn't allow us to connect to it. i also can't get to it in frontview, even though we are using the correct ip address. i just have...

When you say you were using the 3500 as a switch, do you mean that nothing was connected to the WAN port?
You can try a direct connect with a mac (wiring the ethernet cable directly to the mac NIC).
If you are using DHCP on the NAS, configure the PC to use IP 192.168.168.100 and subnet 255.255.255.0. The NAS should fail over to 192.168.168.168
If you are using a static IP in the NVX you can configure the PC to use an appropriate IP/subnet.
Another possibility is to try an OS reinstall via the NVX front panel. That will reset the IP config to use DHCP, and the admin password to netgear1. It shouldn't make any other changes, though of course there is always some risk.
