Can't enable SMB on RN428

I recently switched my RN428 from a RAID 6 to a RAID 0 (wiping all the data).  After I did, the device wouldn't let me create my shared folders again, so I did a factory reset.  I was able to create a shared folder, but now I can't enable SMB.

Under System > Services, I click the "SMB" button, check "Enable SMB" and "Legacy Windows Discovery," leave the SMB3 encryption settings alone, and hit "Apply".  The popup window closes, there is a rotating wheel next to "Services," but the green indicator never comes on the SMB button and I can't access the RN428 via Windows.  I've tried "Refresh" but no change.  When I click on the SMB button again, it shows the "Legacy Windows Discovery" box checked, but not the "Enable SMB" box.  I try to check it again and "Apply" again, but the same thing happens.

Any suggestions or assistance would be appreciated!

Thanks.

I selected "Enable" "Globally" and it seems to have turned on SMB now (I can now see the NAS in Windows), but I don't really know what I've done by saying "Enable" "Globally".

Globably just means "these settings are for all shares".  The alternative is to configure the SMB transport for each share in its share settings.

Not sure how to read them really (below), but it looks like the system didn't like the fact that I didn't select anything for the SMB3 Transport Encryption

Required - Always encrypt the network transport (denying access if the client can't do that).

Desired - Encrypt the network when possible (if the client supports it), but allow access if the client doesn't support encrypted transport.

Enabled - Allow the network transport to be encrypted (so it will only be encrypted if the client requires that).

Disabled - never encrypt the network transport (denying access if the client requires it).
