Might be worth setting the DNS server to 8.8.8.8.
What firmware are you running?

It is running 6.10.2 ...
I tried disabling Eth0 and then configured Eth1 as static with DNS set to 8.8.8.8 and second DNS set to 8.8.4.4. Still same error when try to install any apps.
Everything else on the NAS works fine but it is unable to install Apps for some reason. There were some problems with the box when it was new and Netgear support logged into the box to straighten it out ... I'm thinking that perhaps they got the basic functionality back up and running but something to do with apps and app installation never got fixed and is still corrupted from whatever it was brought down the box back then? Haven't ever tried to install apps since then.

Maybe try upgrading to 6.10.3 and see if that helps.
