Actually, whatever i have done has appeared to work. There must have been a slight delay. The NAS has now appeared in the network, along with all the other computers in my home LAN. Thanks to everyone for all the help.

Hello McGarnagle,
Welcome to the community!
Can you still access the admin page? When you type //<NAS IP> (ex. //192.168.3.2), does it get you to the volume of the NAS?
Please also include the model number and firmware version of your NAS.

Hi JennC
Thanks for the reply. I can indeed acces the Admin page. The model is ReadyNAS 316 and the firmware is 6.4.1.
In regards to cps8088's reply i checked the workgroup and found it to be incorrect. I changed it to "Workgroup", thinking this would solve the problem. However, it seems that the NAS still does not appear in the network list.

Hello McGarnagle,
What happens when you type \\NAS IP in the Windows explorer?
Can you try installing SMB+ and enable SMB 1.0 version, see if that helps.

Even if it doesn't appear in the left pane, you should still be able to access the NAS with file explorer (and map drive letters).
Are you able to do that?
