Can't see the expension on the disk Readynas duo

Hello,

I am uppgrading my 2 hardrives (1Tb each) by 1 hardrive (2Tb) ( I am planing to buy the second one soon)

I am with the latest firmware RAIDiator 4.1.8.

I removed one hardrive and put the the 2Tb hardrive ( syncronized and everything is good) ( BUT of course I can't see the 2 Tb since There is one hardrive 1 Tb and the otherone 2Tb)

I Removed the 1Tb hardrive and now there is ONLY one hardrive ( the 2Tb)

my problem is that I can see only 1Tb on this hardrive while it should be 2 TB ....

any help please

NB: I bought compatible hardrives....
NB2: Please check the image to understand more...

  • The NAS will is correctly identifying the disk (2 TB Seagate) and the volume size (1 TB). It will not expand to 2 TB until you install a 2nd 2TB disk and let the NAS re-sync the data. Once the data is resynced (and the volume is protected), the NAS will expand to fill the rest of the disk.

In a nutshell, you need to add another 2 TB disk.
  • thanks for your answer...will try to buy a hardrive as soon as I can...
