Can't upgrade my RN102 from 6.1.8 to 6.1.9
Hi everybody !
I've got a little issue with my beloved RN102 :D
Until now I've never experienced any problem upgrading my RN102 (I think I did at least the last five of six updates).
But now I can't upgrade to 6.1.9.
The popup ask me to upgrade every time I log on to the interface. I submit, it tries to download, but the popup closes automatically after 10s (without any progress).
So I tried to download the upgrade, uncompress the zip file, upload the img on the preferences page and after it's uploaded (the browser stops loading), it just does nothing...
It looks like no errors are written in /var/log...
Does someone have any idea ?

- vandermerweMasterHave you tried using a different browser?
Where did you put the img file. Try putting it into a share on the nas then doing the manual update.
Contacting support if these simple things don't work would be a good idea. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSo you have SSH access?
Have you checked the fullness of the 4 GB OS partition?:
# df -h
# df -i - vandermerweMasterThe "full OS partition" affects the 102 and other newer units??
- KaldorAspirantThank you very much for your help guys !
I'll try all these at noon and let you know about the results :) - KaldorAspirantFor you're information:
I tried the upgrade with firefox (which caused no problem until now).
Actually I upgraded a brand new RN102 from 6.0.0 to 6.1.9 with the exactly same browser yesterday night and it caused no problem at all (but that could be a problem with 6.1.8).
Anyway, I'll try with Chrome and I'll try to upload it and install from a share.
I'll also check the disk space (I didn't thought about it).
I've just used SSH to install midnight commander (apt-get install mc) and enable ssh access to one of my users (to allow SFTP).
I hope it didn't install too much stuffs (mc is supposed to be a lightweight package but I didn't remember what dependencies it brought with himself). - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retired

Yes.
ARM units such as the 102 still use EXT4 for the OS parition. It is still 4GB and can get full.
There were some improvements to log rotation in 6.1.9. It's possible a large log file could be filling the OS partition.
There are of course other possibilities.
The Intel units use BTRFS for the OS partition, so instead of df -i on those you would use a different command. The OS parition is 4 GB on these units too. - KaldorAspirantSo...
It looks OK :
root@readynas:~# df -h

Now I'll try to update with Chrome. - KaldorAspirantSame problem with Chrome (v37).
I tried the auto update, the popup closes itself without error (like on Firefox).
I tried to upload it from my PC and from a share on the NAS, and it doesn't work either :(
Do you have any other idea ? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredOdd.
What is the output of the following?:
