Would it be possible if you will reset your browser settings? If the admin page is accessed via HTTP, it shouldn't tell you that the website is secured and there is a problem with the certificate. You may want to install a certificate on your web browser/s instead to avoid getting the said message everytime you attempt to access the admin page. The instructions are available here.

Hi Brian,
I tried your recommendations, but as nothing did really help, I completely deinstalled my Firefor and installed it again on the second machine, where I could not access the ReadyNAS login webpage. After that Firefox accepted the exemption regarding the certificate and I was able to log on.
That problem seems to be solved. Now I have to concentrate on owncloud. But that is a different story and perhaps by that a diffrent threat.
