Change to RSync
Hi There!
Now that I have a backup completed from my two shares to my two directories on the USB, from now on, rather than copying 2TB each day or so, I would like to just sync the changes. Could someone tell me (Step by step please) How I do this on an Ultra 2 Plus please?
Thanks so much!

- bdg20901AspirantOn both ReadyNAS devices: Services > Standard File Protocols, go to RSYNC, check box and hit apply
Then go to Shares > click on the RSYNC for the share you want, create a username/password for use on RSYNC
Now on the destination device:
Backup > Add a new Backup Job
Step 1: "Remote: rsync server", host = ip address of readynas, set login and password
Step 2: Destination: share on the readynas
Step 3: Backup schedule, do not need to setup
Step 4:shouldn't need to modify anything - networknAspirant

I think I wasn't clear enough. I have done a full backup of two shares on my readynas to a USB Drive attached to the front port of the readynas. Now instead of doing a full copy, I want to just backup changes to the same USB Drive, as this is much faster. - schultzterAspirantYou can still use rsync - this is basically what I'm doing.
As a source specify your volume c.
As a destination select the USB drive.
In the options below make sure to specify a full-backup only the first time.
