Changed router - ip problems - can't login to Frontview
Hi
Linux - ReadyNAS Ultra 2
I just changed my NETGEAR FVS318 for a FVS318g
With the former I was using the default ip address range 192.168.0.1-192.168.0.xxx
The FVS318g defaults to 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.xxx
RAIDar can see my readynas on the new router (with a different ip address) but I can't enter setup to change to the new ip address I want to use. The control panel/frontview won't open in my browser - I think the password is ip specific.
Can anybody tell me how I can change my ReadyNAS ip address please, bearing in mind I can't open Control Panel?
Many thanks,
David

Now suddenly I'm locked out again, exception error but it says the certificate is valid and override is greyed out.
I might just delete all Firefox and related folders and reinstall Firefox.
David - davidr1LuminaryThat solved it - though I still got an exception to the certificate.
The certificate said it was for 192.168.0.5 - an address I have never used. odd?
Thanks for your help StephenB and PapaBear.

Great that you are up and running. You might look at your router settings, some will let you make an IP address reservation. That would allow you to continue to use DHCP in the ReadyNAS, but prevent more IP changes (until you change routers again...)davidr wrote: That solved it - though I still got an exception to the certificate.

Maybe the initial boot used the .5 address? It is possible to regenerate the certificate, but I wouldn't bother (it doesn't eliminate the exception, which is because the certificate wasn't created by a trusted third party). - davidr1LuminaryI reserved addresses for each connected item in my router.
FWIW, it's interesting that this exception only happened on one of my networked computers. (All linux and Firefox)
As you say, it is working now. Thanks.
