CIFS Default Access
Why is it that files saved from Windows 7 to CIFS shares on my ReadyNAS NV+ (RAIDiator 4.1.8 ) only have read access when the Default Access is set to Read/write in Frontview? This is causing problem...

Have you made changes on "Advanced CIFS Permission" of shares?there are a few options to define new files or folders permission,I think you might need check it first.
If you want to add writable permisson to existing files, just go into "Shares->Share listing->Advanced options->mark "Set ownership and permission for existing files and folders in this share to the above settings. This option is useful in cases where you are changing security levels and need to workaround file access problems" and "Grant rename and delete privileges to non-owner of files"->apply.
