CLAM Antivirus uses lots of space?

Legacy Pro 6 with os 6.8.0

Hi all,

Is it normal that the antivirus eat alot of space on sys disk?

Antivirus on:

/dev/md0        4.0G  1.6G  2.1G  44% /

Antivirus off:

/dev/md0        4.0G  1.5G  2.3G  39% /

I still have an huge directory with antivirus files, around 600-700 mb.

Is this normal or should i be concerned about the 44% on md0?

I would like to have the antivirus running but since it builds up more and more i wonder...

Best regards

// Hans

  • Hello viperhansa,

    Anti virus feature of the NAS does use space that is normal. The log you have provided shows the status of the OS partition which is at 44% as of the moment that is normal and there is no need to be concerned. I do assume that all computers on the same network as the NAS has their own anti virus application running, you have an option to disable anti virus feature on the NAS.
