ReadyDLNA doesn't play DRM protected files (e.g., purchased from iTunes), but it will stream unprotected m4a music to my NTV550.
DLNA generally requires support in both the server and the player for each file type/codec. It's possible that the limitation is in the Panasonic. Can you get specs on what it is supposed to play?
