Connecting My ReadyNAS NVX and Its not visible.
I have my NVX connected dircetly into my computer. I am struggling to make iut visible to my computer. In the manual it says I need to make sure the Subnet Masks are the same, but I cannot work out how to ensure this is happening. I have attached a screengrab of what I am looking at on RAIDar.
Please help!
Duncan
If you are using the default network settings on your NAS, then it would be using 192.168.168.168 as it's IP address. You can configure the PC to assign a static IP address on the PC NIC of 192.168.168.100, with a gateway address of 192.168.168.168 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Then you could reach the NAS using it's IP address.
Also, if you are using Windows 10, you will need to go into "turn windows features on or off", and make sure the SMB 1.0/CIFS client is installed, Microsoft is deprecating SMB 1.0, but you need to use it with your older ReadyNAS.
Posting the RAIDar help screen isn't that useful. If RAIDar is detecting your NAS, can you show us the main screen (firmware and IP address)?
