Connecting USB Device makes NAS drop off network?

It is possible that the NAS did not really get disconnected from the network but the DLNA service just got interrupted. Did you get the same results when using other USB ports? Also, was the NAS' visibility on the network like being able to map it on computer get interrupted too?

I didn't try a nother USB port since I have a bacup job that runs every wednesday and sunday at 20:05. I just have to make sure the USB disc is connected before the backup runs.
It is not a big issue though. I just have to connect the USB disc at a time where noone is streaming over DLNA.
I didn't notice that the Mapped network drives were inaccessibly, but I don't think I would ever notice if the NAS dropped of the network for maybe 30 seconds if I am not reading/wrinting on the NAS when it drops off.
